The current route takes you on a lot of pavements due to land slip diversions but still gives excellent views over Lyme Regis and also takes you through some wooded areas.

Lyme Regis to Charmouth
How to get there: - Grid Reference 343925; Take the Lyme Regis exit from the A35 at the top of Charmouth. After about a mile , just past the Lyme Regis Football pitch, park in the Charmouth Road car park on the left.
Information: This is a Pay-and Display car park. Toilets are available
Walk details:-
Turn right up the hill and after 150 metres, after passing the football pitch and the turning into a small lane, turn right into the corner of the field following the signpost showing 2 ½ miles to Charmouth.
This is a steady climb for about 1/2 mile, across the fields and through the wooded area until you reach the level. Before the land slip, you could turn right here to follow the coast but you must now turn left. On this climb, you get excellent views across Lyme Regis and the Cobb.
Follow the path to the left for 150 metres which takes you down onto the lane. Turn right and follow the lane past the golf club and onto the main Charmouth-Lyme Regis road. (1/3 mile).
Note: For a short circular option, cross the lane and take the narrow path down to the main A35 and walk back down the road to the car park.
After 100 metres on the main road, turn right and, carefully, cross the golf course (Signposted ‘Path to Fernhill’), following the white stone markers (1/3 mile). This will take you into the woods and after ½ mile you will come out onto the main A35 road.
From here take the pavement down to the roundabout (1/2 mile) and walk down the road into Charmouth.
You need to re-trace your steps to return to the car park.
