Corfe Castle, Norden Farm No. 1

How to get there: - Grid Reference 960824; Coming from Wareham, park in the National Trust car park on the left just before entering the village

As you leave the car park by the Information Centre, cross the road and follow the path alongside the stream until you reach the end of the field on your right (200 metres)

Follow the fence of the field sharp around to your right, sign posted Furzebrook, and continue up the slight incline to the base of the hill with a gate ahead of you and a stile to your right (200 metres).

Turn left just before the gate and follow the path through the woods until you meet a stile in the fence on your right (2/3 mile)

Cross the stile into the field and follow the fence to the next stile (150 metres).

Turn right and follow the path through the Norden Farm camp Site and Farm (1/3 mile). Just before you turn left to meet the main road, there is a gate straight ahead of you with a lane on the other side. Go through the pedestrian gate and follow the path back to metal gate. Here, you will have a short path to the main road to your left. Turn right and return to the gate and stile you met earlier at the base of the Ridgeway (1/2 mile).

From here you can retrace your steps around the field or you can turn left over the stile and head for another stile in the left hand hedge which will take you briefly onto the main road before reaching the car park.
